The goal of sustainability is to minimize the impact that new or existing man-made structures have on the environment, now and in the future. Rhinebeck Architecture's principals are LEED accredited designers and in collaboration with our clients, we strive to incorporate sustainable elements in the design of every one of our projects. During the design process we review building and site infrastructure to recommend opportunities for improved sustainability including analysis of payback timelines. Many projects sacrifice good design in order to meet some level of sustainability. With proper planning, both can be achieved. We use LEED standards and Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) guidelines to design buildings that provide a healthy and safe environment, cost less to operate and help protect the environment.
